چکیده
Background: The purpose of this study was to determine the profiles patients with type 2 diabetes (T2DM) and an SLC22A1 gene mutation in order evaluate effect metformin pharmacogenetics.
Methods: To assess pharmacogenetics, a T2DM receiving investigated. Blood samples were taken from 50 diabetics Minangkabau ethnicity who met inclusion criteria, SNP genotyping blood glucose levels determined. DNA is extracted purified using DNAzol® Genomic Kits (Thermofischer Scientific) reagents. Chi-square test Independent sample T used analyze data. A statistically significant association defined as p-value < 0.05. Finally, GraphPad Prism 7.00 program gather data.
Results: adjusted odds ratio for inadequate fasting 1.48 (95% CI 1.18-1.95) study, while diet discipline 1.23 1.18-1.95). low physical activity 1.18. 1.05-1.81). According sequencing data, proportion mutants high at exon rs683369 (G> C), percentage wildtype heterozygous same introns rs4646272 (T> G).
Conclusion: Obesity, discipline, all found increase likelihood insufficient patients. Exon C) has mutants, but G) have mutants.

Type 2 diabetes mellitus is a worldwide epidemic disorder with considerable health and economic consequences. Metformin is one of the most commonly prescribed oral antidiabetic drugs. Pharmacogenetic studies showed that variants in genes related to the pharmacokinetics of metformin were associated with glucose-lowering effect of metformin. The aim of this study was to evaluate pharmacogenetic v...

Introduction: One of the most widely used anti-diabetic drugs is sulfonylureas, which is often used as one of the first-line drugs in the treatment of type 2 diabetes. Due to the effect of the patient's genetic structure on the drug response (personalized medicine), the identification of genetic variations not only reduces the rate of adverse drug reactions but can also predict the effectivenes...

Objective: The autoimmune diseases tend to coexist with diabetes mellitus type I (T1DM). The concomitance of these two types of diseases will lead to poor glycemic control beside their own complications. In this study the prevalence of thyroid disorder and celiac disease among T1DM patients in Yazd, Iran was evaluated. Materials and Methods: all the patients diagnosed as T1DM in Yazd younger t...
